About Wye Valley NHS Trust
Wye Valley NHS Trust is the first provider of acute, community services and adult social care in England.
Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust, NHS Herefordshire and Primary Care Trust Provider Services and Adult Social Care previously provided by Herefordshire Council joined on 1st April 2011, to become a new organisation, Wye Valley NHS Trust which brings together acute, community health and adult social care services.
The key principles of Wye Valley NHS Trust are to improve the health and well being of the people we serve in Herefordshire and the surrounding areas.
We are working across traditional boundaries to provide integrated care in order to deliver a standard of care we would want for ourselves, our families and friends.
With an estimated annual turnover of around £160million, we employ around 3000 staff . As the first integrated provider of acute, community and social care in England, we aim to build new relationships between our staff, patients, service users and their carers, and with the wider community.
We are a clinical and practitioner-led organisation owned by our local community and staff.
