My name's Keir Brisbane and I am the Service Manager for the Youth Service.
The Central Norfolk Youth Service is offering an exciting opportunity for someone with passion and experience to join our team. We are looking to recruit a Clinical Nurse Lead based at 80 St Stephens Road in the city centre.
In our service we support young people (aged 14-25 years) who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. We have a diverse and skilled staff team who strive to provide effective, innovative care for our young people and support for families and carers.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an experienced Mental Health Nurse to work alongside our Physical Health Nurse Lead across both locality teams.
You will be expected to work with the medical and therapy teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for the young people using our service. You will be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, sound clinical decision-making, and be confident in working with complexity and the wider health and social care system.
The postholder will be responsible for-
-Nursing leadership and management/clinical supervision of nursing colleagues and case managers.
-Workforce and job planning alongside the senior nurses and operational managers. Supporting delivery of the Nursing strategy which includes consideration of wellbeing and equality and diversity programs.
-Non-medical prescribing – to hold regular medication clinics to instigate, titrate and review medications, attend the medical review planning meetings, act as a lead for NMP issues for the service.
-Quality and assurance; including overseeing the audit process, and the implementation of clinical initiatives and quality improvement plans.

- RN (Mental Health or General Nurse)
- Educated to Master’s degree level in relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Independent Prescribing qualification

- Minimum 5 years post registration experience
- Comprehensive experience at local leadership level within speciality
- Experience and knowledge of quality standard setting and audit
