Latymer Upper and Latymer Prep Schools are jointly run by a registered charity - The Latymer Foundation at Hammersmith.

The Latymer Foundation was created in 1624 and the Upper School was established on its present site in 1895, originally as a boys' school until the move to co-education which began in 1996. Both schools are now fully co-educational in all year groups.

Latymer Upper School is the leading, fully co-educational independent school in London. The Upper School comprises of 1200 pupils from the ages of 11 to 18.

Latymer Prep School comprises of 160 children from 7 to 11.

The two schools are situated on the same site, with the Upper School main entrance being on King Street in Hammersmith and the Prep School being on the Mall by the River Thames. The two schools are linked by our own underpass and staff and pupils share sports, theatre and dining facilities. In addition to our main site, the Latymer Foundation has playing fields at Wood Lane and sports facilities in Whitton.

Both the Upper and the Prep Schools recruit individuals of the highest calibre. Between them the two schools employ more than 350 staff. We look for teachers who are passionate and knowledgeable about their subject and who delight in enthusing young people about learning. Our Support staff work in a range of vital and valued positions and bring experience, knowledge and dedication to the School.

Latymer is friendly, lively and energetic, full of choice and opportunity; a happy, caring community in an exciting urban setting. We pride ourselves on being both outward and forward-looking. Our pupils and staff come from diverse backgrounds and schools, and we are proud to reflect the cosmopolitan mix of London.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
