NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) is one of the largest CSUs in the country providing services to 50 CCGs as well as NHS providers, local authorities and other public sector organisations across the country.

We’re a 1600-strong team of dedicated professionals with a wide range of skills and expertise across the full range of commissioning support services. And we are an organisation with a unique geographical reach and experience in serving diverse urban and rural populations facing a range of commissioning challenges.

Our clients trust us to work with them to make important things happen from providing really strong operational support, such as payroll and contract management, to developing innovative new products or helping to plan and design major transformational change.

Our specialist offerings, such as our Strategy Unit, Bespoke Integrated Language and Communications Service (BILCS) and Referral Management Centre, also set us apart from the competition.

Our vision is to play a pivotal role in improving health and wellbeing for populations we serve, and our values underpin everything we do:

  • Honesty, integrity and transparency
  • Everyone counts
  • Commitment to quality
  • Adding value
  • Working together

Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business and would encourage people from the armed forces community to apply for our vacancies.

At MLCSU, our vision is for work to be something we do rather than a physical place we go. Our truly agile approach provides our people with greater flexibility around where and when they work their contracted hours, whilst balancing this with the needs of the team and the services we provide. Flexibility and choice underpin the way we work, aligning to both our culture and The NHS People Promise. Our way of working creates a better work-life balance and ensures MLCSU is a great place to work for everyone – enabling us to deliver support to the NHS and improve people’s care.

So why not join our team and help us to deliver better healthcare, both now and in the future!
