Bank Outpatients Healthcare Assistant

Spire Wellesley Hospital has some exciting opportunities for Healthcare Assistants to join our experienced and dynamic team. Working in our Outpatients department with a wide variety of specialisms you will be able to develop your clinical skills in a modern and supportive environment.

Our Hospital has 3 state of the art Theatres, an Endoscopy unit and a 33 bedded Surgical Ward covering a wide variety of specialities including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology and ENT.


Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join us at Spire Wellesley Hospital. Our Healthcare Assistants are an intrinsic part of our clinical teams, working closely with our Nurses in carrying out a range of basic nursing tasks under their supervision such as personal hygiene, feeding and mobility. The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures, you will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.

Who we are looking for:

Qualifications and Training

Desirable

  • NVQ Health Awards level 3 competence, NVQ Direct Care Level 2 or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

 

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of planning work and acting under own initiative
  • Patient/customer facing experience
  • Working as part of a team

 

Knowledge and Technical Ability

Essential

  • Awareness of health safety and hygiene and  infection control
  • Possess the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health and safety competencies.
  • Possess Equipment and Medical Devices Competences
  • Computer literate  and trained in Microsoft Office
  • English language to IELTS 7.0
