Job overview
We are seeking a dynamic nursing leader to provide strategic, professional, and operational leadership for our Neonatal Services within the Directorate of Maternity and Neonatology.
This leadership role spans two hospital sites and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the delivery of high-quality, safe, and family-centred care for some of our most vulnerable patients.
What you will be doing:
• Provide a highly visible nursing presence across both sites.
• Ensure the delivery of responsive, compassionate, and high-standard neonatal care, in line with national and Trust priorities.
• Lead service development, quality improvement, and workforce planning.
• Promote staff engagement, retention, and professional development.
• Maintain oversight of budgetary management, service efficiency, and clinical governance.
• Collaborate with the senior triumvirate team to implement strategic initiatives and Trust-wide Nursing & Midwifery strategies.

• A dynamic individual who wants to lead a great team of staff to provide excellent, forward thinking nursing care.
• Registered Nurse with extensive leadership experience in acute care and a track record of success in managing teams service transformation, and managing complex operational priorities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across clinical and managerial teams.

- RN, RM or RSCN current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Desirable criteria
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject area
- Management course/qualification

- Experience of working within an acute setting

- Experience of change management/implementation of practice change
