Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and conscientious team player to join a large multi-disciplinary team, in the directorate of Gynaecology, Sexual Health, Reproductive & Retroviral Medicine.
A substantive opportunity has arisen as a Business Delivery Manager within the directorate to manage the administrative functions within the Gynaecology & Reproductive Medicine specialty to support the provision of excellent patient care. This role will lead on the delivery of services at Queen Charlotte’s hospital with opportunities to cover other areas as part of their development.
The post will be of interest to those who wish to pursue a career in hospital management and would like to gain more experience in a busy service with a wide variety of challenges. The Directorate offers a broad range of experience across a range of settings and the opportunity to build and develop skills required to move forward to a more senior role.
We are looking for someone with experience of operational management (particularly within an oncology service), who can balance the demands of a very busy workload and is dedicated to delivering excellent patient experience. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate that you can lead and motivate a team.
Main duties of the job
- The Business Delivery Managers support the achievement of key KPI’s for the service, including the management of 18 week, cancer and diagnostic delivery across the sub-specialities.
- The BDMs are responsible for day to day operational management of site specific outpatients, inpatients, and ward administration including management of administrative staff.
- The post holder is key to delivery of patient experience through responding to patient queries and complaints in person, via PALS or the complaints team and investigating DATIX incidents.
- The role is also responsible for a number of other KPIs including letter turn-around times, data quality and referral to book times.
