Overview
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, or Educational Psychologist to join our growing neurodevelopmental assessment service, delivering ADHD diagnostic assessments for adults, with the option to also undertake autism and combined ADHD/autism assessments where appropriately trained.
This is a flexible, part-time role, well suited to clinicians with an existing private practice or portfolio career who wish to undertake high-quality diagnostic work within a supportive clinical framework.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive adult ADHD diagnostic assessments, in line with NICE guidance and professional standards

Complete high-quality diagnostic reports within agreed timeframes

Provide structured feedback sessions following assessment

Where trained and experienced:

Conduct autism assessments (adult and/or child)

Undertake combined ADHD/autism assessments

Work within established clinical pathways, templates, and governance processes

Participate in clinical supervision and quality assurance activities
Essential Requirements
-
HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, or Educational Psychologist
-
Demonstrable experience conducting adult ADHD assessments (minimum requirement)

Training in ADHD assessment, as follows:

Clinical Psychologists: recognised as pre-qualified to assess ADHD within scope of practice
-
Counselling / Educational Psychologists: completion of UKAAN-recognised ADHD training (or equivalent)

Strong diagnostic reasoning and report-writing skills
-
Ability to work independently in a remote setting
-
Availability to offer a minimum of two evening sessions per week (typically between 5:00pm–9:00pm, but flexible)

Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
Desirable (but Not Essential)

Eligibility and experience to assess children and adolescents
-
Training and experience in autism assessments (adult and/or child)

Experience working in private practice settings

Interest in developing skills in combined ADHD/autism diagnostic work
Availability & Flexibility

Two evenings per week (5pm–9pm range)

This role is designed to integrate well alongside existing NHS or private practice commitments.
