West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 6 Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Practitioner to join our dynamic multidisciplinary EIP team in Ealing.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people (aged 14 plus) and adults experiencing a first episode of psychosis, providing timely, evidence‑based, and recovery‑focused interventions.
You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality assessment, care coordination, and therapeutic support, working collaboratively with service users, families, and partner agencies to promote hope, resilience, and long‑term recovery.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for individuals experiencing first‑episode psychosis
- Act as a care coordinator for a defined caseload, delivering person‑centred, trauma‑informed care
- Develop and implement collaborative care plans, crisis plans, and risk management plans
- Deliver evidence‑based interventions, including CBT‑informed approaches, psychoeducation, and relapse prevention
- Work closely with families and carers, offering support and family‑focused interventions
- Participate in MDT meetings, contributing to clinical decision‑making and service development
- Liaise with internal and external partners including primary care, crisis services, acute wards, education providers, and voluntary sector organisations
- Support physical health monitoring and promote healthy lifestyle interventions
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with Trust policies
- Participate in audit, quality improvement, and service evaluation activities

Experience

- Post-qualification experience in mental health; working with individuals with acute and complex needs
- Experience of supervising junior staff within own and/or other disciplines.
- Working in partnership with other agencies
- Experience of working in a community mh setting

- CAMHS and/or CYP experience
- Care co-ordination and care planning within CPA in the community.
- At Risk Mental State (ARMS) services
Knowledge

- Specialist knowledge of mental health disorders as well as their relationship to physical disorders
- Mental health issues within diverse communities
- The Early Intervention in Psychosis model, ethos and practice
- Safeguarding policies and procedure
- Evidence –based interventions for First Episode Psychosis including psychological treatments
- Care Programme Approach principles
- Understand the principles of recovery and their application to risk management, positive risk taking and strength-based approaches to care delivery.
- Sufficient clinical knowledge to be able to make autonomous decisions, based on an analysis of complex presenting problems and judgement about available options.
