As part of this work, we are expanding our Children’s Emergency Department team and are looking for motivated, compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurses to join us.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a service that is developing, improving, and shaping the future of urgent paediatric care at West Herts.

- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective clinical decision making
- Contribute to innovative practice and new ways of working within paediatric urgent and emergency care
- Help maintain a positive, calm and supportive environment for children, young people, families and colleagues
We’re looking for nurses who are enthusiastic about paediatric emergency care, committed to learning, and ready to make a meaningful impact during a period of exciting development.
Working for our organisation
We are building on the success of our award-winning virtual hospital and re-imagining models of care, working closely with partners and making the most of advances in digital healthcare.
Staff wellbeing and development are a priority, as is the role of innovation in improving clinical care, outcomes and patient experience.
We offer a variety of flexible working options as we recognise the importance of a good work life balance. www.westhertshospitals.nhs.uk/flexibleworking
