As an integrated Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) delivers a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults, including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, and forensic services with low and medium secure care.
- Specialist mental health inpatient care for individuals with learning disabilities, alongside specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
- Extensive community physical health and well-being services for children and adults, covering prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term condition management.
The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,500 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Older Adults Community Mental Health Team in South Lakes as a Band 7 Team Leader.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with leadership and management experience who is passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of older adults within the community. This role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with a range of mental health needs, including dementia, depression, and complex mental health conditions.
The role is Monday to Friday 9-5 with Bank Holidays off.
Main duties of the job
As Team Leader, you will provide both clinical and operational leadership supporting staff through supervision, guidance, and development while ensuring the safe and effective delivery of services. A key part of the role will involve monitoring and managing team performance, promoting a positive and accountable team culture, and supporting staff to achieve high standards of practice and service delivery. We are looking for leaders who demonstrate visible, supportive leadership, fostering a positive team culture while also holding themselves and others to account for high standards of practice, performance, and patient care.
You will also play an important role in working collaboratively with partner organisations, building strong relationships across health and social care services, including primary care, acute services, social care, and voluntary sector partners.
