School Health Assistant / School Health Screener

We are looking to recruit a Band 3 School Health Assistant for 26 hours per week, working term time only, 39 weeks per year to our compassionate and supportive team in Reading. You will need to be motivated, innovative and looking to further develop your knowledge and skills within the NHS. We will ensure you receive devoted, effective support from both your manager and colleagues within your team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Reading School Nursing team to deliver the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) to children in Reception year and Year 6. You will require excellent organisational skills, the ability to work in partnership with other teams and agencies, along with great communication and a passion for working with children and families whilst being able to adapt to continuing change.
Hours: 26 hours per week term time only
Work base: Whitley - TBC
Parking: Staff parking is available on site

Deliver the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) for children in Year R and Year 6

Co-ordinate the delivery timetable of all commissioned schools

Input collected data onto the NCMP database

Contribute to developing, reviewing and improving the service delivery of the NCMP

Undertake hearing tests and make referrals to Paediatric Audiology

Provide administrative support to the school nursing team when required
