Quality and Performance Manager

About the role

We're looking for a Quality and Performance Manager to join our Governance team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services. Working in partnership with senior leaders and operational teams, you'll provide expert advice, assurance and constructive challenge to help drive continuous improvement across Community Healthcare Services.

You'll lead on quality assurance activities including audits, service reviews, compliance monitoring and performance reporting, ensuring that organisational standards, governance requirements and regulatory expectations are consistently met. You'll analyse data and trends, identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and support managers to develop practical, evidence-based solutions that enhance service delivery and outcomes for those we support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, influencing positive change and using insight to improve services across a complex and rewarding organisation.

About the team

The Governance team plays a critical role in helping SSAFA deliver safe, effective and high-quality services. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to strengthen governance arrangements, monitor performance, manage risk, identify learning and drive continuous improvement.

As part of the central Quality, Performance and Governance function, you'll join a supportive team committed to developing a culture of learning, assurance and service excellence.

About you

You will be a qualified healthcare practitioner with experience in quality, governance, performance, compliance or assurance environments. You will bring a strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management, audit processes and continuous improvement, and be confident using performance and quality data to identify trends, evaluate risks and support informed decision-making.

You will have experience undertaking audits, reviews and quality assurance activities, and will be comfortable working with senior leaders to provide support, professional advice and constructive challenge. Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities are essential.

Experience of working within a military environment, or an understanding of the unique challenges associated with delivering services to the Armed Forces community, would be advantageous.

A relocation package to Cyprus is available for this role.

About SSAFA

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for the Armed Forces community in their time of need. In 2024 our trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 54,000 people, including veterans, serving personnel (regulars and reserves) and their families.

SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person and their family, any time they need us and in any way they need us.

Diversity and Inclusion at SSAFA

SSAFA exists to support a diverse range of beneficiaries within the armed forces community, and we believe diversity within our teams is key to ensuring we can deliver our services effectively. We thrive on differences and believe it is critical to our success as a worldwide charity. SSAFA is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace that seeks to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We therefore encourage applications from all genders, races, religions, ages and sexual orientations, as well as parents, veterans, people living with disabilities, and any other groups that could bring diverse perspectives to our business.

SSAFA is committed to using the Disclosure & Barring Service to ensure we, as an employer, safeguard those we serve.
