Job overview
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to come and join our trauma and orthopaedic ward here in Ysbyty Gwynedd as the Band 7 Ward Manager. We need an experienced, highly motivated individual who can work with our Orthopaedic/ Surgical team to deliver high quality patient care. As a ward manager you will lead the team to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Main duties of the job
You will need to ensure the highest standards of quality and assist your team to achieve this.
You will be given the opportunity to learn and develop new leadership and management skills.
The post holder will be supported by the Surgical Matron along with the Surgical Head of Nursing.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- 1st Level Nurse
- NMC Registration
- Evidence of a Degree level qualifications or working towards this within an agreed time frame
- Evidence of CPD
- Holds or is actively working towards a relevant Post-Graduate Diploma, Diploma to be completed within an agreed timeframe
Desirable criteria
- Recognised Management Qualification
- Evidence of Masters level of study

- Broad in depth experience of practice in service areas
- Substantial post registration experience
- Significant experience of working either within the clinical speciality or a relevant nursing role
