Prescribed Medication Specialist
Band 6 Post, 22.5 hour position to cover Denbighshire (1 day PMSS) & Flintshire (2 days duty)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse/counsellor to work within the Prescribed Medication Service and the Primary Care Mental Health Counselling Service.
This specialist service supports clients who are dependent on prescribed medication.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant would be responsible for providing reducing regimes and monitoring/supporting clients through their reduction. The role requires the ability to work well with a range of professionals, clients and the wider community.
The role also supports the Primary Care Mental Health Counselling Service; part of the work would be to have responsibility for client allocation to counsellors and offering support to the counsellors when areas of risk are identified from the base in Flintshire.
The post holder would need to be able to fit into an existing multi-disciplinary team and be able to work under pressure, have good leadership and communication skills to deliver the desired quality and standard required of the Service.
