The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2025/2026 and will be implemented in August 2025 with arrears backdated to 1st April 2025 where applicable.

We are seeking to recruit an authentic clinical leader, the Head of Nursing Community will have significant responsibility across the Primary and Community team and will be accountable for the strategic, operational and budgetary management of several community nursing teams that cross primary and secondary care and have a direct impact on the patient and carer experience across North Wales.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible and accountable for providing comprehensive and strong professional leadership, expert guidance, advice, and direction to nursing and other professionals across the primary and community nursing teams. 

The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing Quality Improvement Strategies within areas of responsibility for leadership, building, motivating and developing teams to drive forward service transformation, which will impact across primary care, secondary care and commissioned services. The post holder will be required to challenge, support, manage and develop the delivery of community nursing services that are outcomes focused, with robust systems for performance, governance, patient safety and financial management promoting a culture of Prudent and Compassionate Health Care
