Job overview

The post holder will act as the professional nurse lead providing clinical advice, leadership development, monitoring and management of all nursing resource for Health Liaison services in relation to patient care and service delivery across the three DGHs, to facilitate excellent nursing practice ensuring the delivery of a high quality, patient centred service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse
  • Masters Degree or equivalent experience in nursing or health related subject or working towards with completion in three years
  • Teaching / assessing qualification or experience
  • Track record of significant continuous professional and management development
  • Leadership training or equivalent experience
  • Significant relevant experience in a managerial post
Desirable criteria
  • Post graduate management qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Multi-professional problem solving in teams
  • Strategy and policy development
  • Supervision, teaching and coaching of staff
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with all professional disciplines
  • Budget management experience
  • Experience of improving quality for patients, staff and service
