Main duties of the job
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Dental Decontamination Technician to work at our Dental Care Centre, a busy, multi surgery clinic in Bedford, close to the town centre. You will be part of a large clinical and administrative team.
Community Dental Service (CDS), carries out a wide range of dental diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using a wide variety of instruments and equipment. It has upgraded its facilities to ensure compliance with HTM01-05 ‘Decontamination in Primary Care Dental Practices’ allowing for highly efficient services in modern, user friendly environments.
As part of the Decontamination Team across the county, you will assist in ensuring the departments run smoothly by decontaminating and maintaining the dental instruments and equipment within the Service.
The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of the service, together with ensuring the environment is kept clean, safe and comfortable. There will also be the requirement to undertake administrative duties within the clinic as required.
The post holder will be expected to provide support at other clinics when necessary, therefore car users are desirable.
