The Bracknell 0-19 Service is made up of Health Visiting and School Nursing teams who are responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme.  

If you regard yourself as an enthusiastic and dynamic Staff Nurse then you may be suitable to join our forward thinking and vibrant service Whether you are an experienced Staff Nurse ready for a new direction, newly qualified or about to qualify, we will ensure you receive individualised and effective support from both your Health Visiting line manager and colleagues within your team. 

You will work within the Bracknell area to deliver core and targeted services to children aged 0-5 and their families. You will require excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work in partnership with other teams and agencies, along with great communication skills and a passion for working with children and families. 

A commitment to team working, flexibility and working with partners is essential, as you will collaborate with Children’s Centre’s in the implementation of the Healthy Child Programme underpinned by the Solihull Approach model of working. 

Main duties of the job

  • The successful candidates will work within a multi-disciplinary team across the area of Bracknell, supporting the Health Visiting Teams to deliver core and targeted services to the children aged 0-5 and their families. 
  • The successful candidate will be part of the team implementing the Healthy Child Programme, underpinned by the Solihull Approach model of working. 

  • In delivering the service requirements, the successful candidate will be working in a variety of community settings across Bracknell including family homes. 

  • The post holder will be supported by qualified Health Visitors and given a bespoke package of training and support. 

  • Applicants are required to have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and a commitment to team working, flexibility and working with partners.

  • You must be a Nurse that is registered with the NMC
