Are you a nurse with the commitment, drive and passion to deliver outstanding care within breast screening?
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and clinically skilled senior nurse with a strong background in breast cancer to join the West Berkshire Breast Screening Programme
Main duties of the job
Provision of specialist, high quality, expert nursing care and support for clients and their carers through the screening and assessment pathway within the breast screening programme
Deliver evidence based individualised patient care according to patient's changing health care needs, through holistic needs assessment, (HNA).
o work autonomously and seek collaborative relationships with others across and within professional boundaries.
To develop patient pathways and be responsible for developing the nursing service working with the Director of Screening and Breast Screening Service Lead.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To act as a specialist resource for patients and the clinical team by providing comprehensive advice, information, teaching and training both within the Trust and externally.
Update own clinical and specialist knowledge.
Contribute in audit processes
Active involvement in the development of the West Berkshire Breast Screening Programme.
Person specification
Education
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult)
- ENB 998/C&G 730 or equivalent
- Minimum first degree or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Post graduate certificate in teaching
Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum 4 years post qualification
- 2 years within breast cancer care
- Recent clinical experience at band 6/7
- Significant experience in teaching/health promotion & education
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of the NHS Breast screening programme

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
