INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

Band 7 CNS  with significant  Rheumatology, Biologic and advice line experiences. 

The CNS will be able to direct and support staff in their clinical roles to promote a service which prevents inappropriate or unscheduled hospital admissions. They will also be responsible for all aspects of the leadership, development and management of designated teams of nurses. They will be proactive in promoting a positive image of Rheumatology department working closely with the organisation, integrated teams, key stakeholders and partners. They will promote a service which works within local and national directives.

They will cover for Lead nurse in her absent. 

Main duties of the job

Dealing with day to day running of Rheumatology department queries.

Work closely with Admin staff and BDU

Help and support Dawn/Advice line.

Check and submit monthly blu teg

Check and raise biologic weekly prescriptions.  

Instilling strong documentation ethics. 

Presenting in MDT 

Strong sense of team work 

Ensuring Appraisals are up to date

Education

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrate excellent Teaching, training and mentoring skill
  • Evidence of recent clinical practice in specialist area/ evidence of recent appropriate experience.
  • Registered Nurse
  • Willing to undertake further training in specialist area.
Desirable criteria
  • Nurse Prescribing Course/ Willingness to undertake
  • Henley Business apprenticeship course/ willingness to undertake.
