Role: Neurodevelopmental Pathway Staff Nurse
Location: Range of community settings
Hours: Full time / Part time / Flexible applications will be considered

We are delighted to be expanding our established team within our friendly and forward thinking Neurodevelopmental Pathway, which includes Autism (ASD) assessment and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Services.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed colleagues who will work closely with our Autism and ADHD teams to participate in safe and effective support for our Children, Young People and their families.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the Neurodevelopmental Pathway Service, aimed at improving the care of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) across the city, both pre and post diagnosis.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse BSc (Hons)Level 1 RGN or Equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of recent professional development
- Experience of team working
- Experience of working with children and families
- Ability to demonstrate individual responsibility in respect of Health and Safety
- Ability to demonstrate an awareness of Child Protection procedures and issues
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively to clients, their families and other professionals
- Experience within children’s services for special educational needs, or learning disability
Skillls/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and application of NMC Code of Conduct and scope of professional practice
- Ability to demonstrate analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of current legislative changes effecting the NHS and Social Services, particularly those affecting primary care
- Ability to demonstrate written skills that are relevant, accurate, concise and legible
- Experience of working with individuals with complex and diverse needs
- Awareness of the needs of our diverse population
Desirable criteria
- Undertaken CAMHS training
