Health Care Assistant for Ophthalmology Inpatients & Day Surgery Unit at Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre

We are looking for motivated and committed people who want to provide the highest standard of care whilst ensuring that patients are treated with dignity, compassion and respect as a Health Care Assistant. 

This post is for 23hrs (2 long days).  

 

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Under the supervision of a registered nurse you will undertake agreed duties demonstrating the level of competence and professionalism required as a participating team member to deliver high quality care.

This is an interesting time to be in Ophthalmology and this post comprises of an inpatient ward, day surgery unit and a nurse led procedure unit. This post offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to perform with a high degree of clinical skill and knowledge, with the aim of providing effective patient care and recovery.

You will be required to hold an NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care.
