Opportunities have arisen for a full-time band 6 position on A8 our Colorectal/Gen Surg surgical ward

We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of patient care and experience and are looking for a dynamic individual who have experience at Band 5/6 level, working within a surgical environment to join our team.

This is an exciting time following our move to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. 

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the A8 team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and their carer's.

To be responsible for leading your own zone in respect of patient safety and professional standards, demonstrating clinical excellence and acting as a professional role model to Junior Staff

You will be required to line manage a team of staff and complete management duties and be responsible for the effective running and utilisation of the Ward.

Essential criteria
  • Significant post basic experience, and relevant experience in General Surgery, ENT
  • Urology Trauma & Orthopaedics Perceptorship experience
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of previous resource management experience

  • RN Adults.
  • Current NMC registration
  • Relevant post basic qualification relevant to clinical specialty
