Job overview
An exciting opportunity is available for a band 5 nurse within Gynaecology. The successful candidate will work as part of the nursing team, delivering care at the highest standards. Flexibility and dedication is required, and full support will be given by the senior team.
The successful applicant will be required to work Monday - Sunday, including weekends and evenings.
x2 37.50 hour fixed term contract until 30th January 2027.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development and implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without supervision. The post holder will also be required to take a lead / link role for the nursing unit/department to be determined on appointment/appraisal.

Essential criteria
- First Level Registered Nurse with NMC
- Nursing degree
Knowledge and Training
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of undertaking a recognised course of study in teaching and assessing, or commitment to complete
- Evidence of professional development
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an acute hospital setting
- Substantial post registration experience
- Completion of preceptorship/support skills
- Leadership skills
- Good organisational skills
- Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Able to manage a group of patients
- Able to keep full and accurate records
- Computer literate
Desirable criteria
- Experience of dealing with early pregnancy complications
- Venepuncture/ cannulation skills
