We are looking for an efficient and well organised Ward Clerk to join Ward B2, Trauma ward.
Our successful candidate will have good administration skills, excellent customer service skills, the ability to prioritise the demands of a busy environment, work autonomously, and be able to prioritise and work well within a team, be able to communicate effectively with members of the public both face-to-face and offer the phone.
Main duties of the job
To ensure that patient’s medical records are maintained in the correct manner from admission to discharge and also provide an efficient reception, telephone and clerical service to the ward.

Qualifications & Education
Essential criteria
- English and Maths Qualifications at one of the following academic levels/grades:- • O Level - Grade A to C • CSE Grade 1 only • GCSE Grade A to C • GCSE Grade 9 to 4 • Functional skills Level 4
Desirable criteria
- NVQ level 2/3 Business and Administration
- RSA 1 typing/word processing or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages database and patient record systems
