        • £17.01* per hour – Week Days
        • £21.55* per hour  - Nights and Saturdays
        • £26.09* per hour – Sundays and Bank Holidays

  *All rates are inclusive of annual leave allowance

  • You will increase your skill set by working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver all aspects of patient care, and you’ll work with consultants, junior doctors, AHPS, You will receive paid orientation (Up tp 20 hours week day shifts) and up to 4 day paid on site induction (social distancing observed) and e-learning accessible from home). 
  • All NBTextra nurses also receive free uniform.
  • Paid mandatory and statutory training on going

  • Hold RN (adult) registration with current NMC license to practice
  • Minimum of 15 months post new qualification experience. (3 months preceptorship and then 12 months acute experience)
  • Have recent acute hospital experience within the last 18-24 months
  • Have a drive to work hard, enthusiasm and the ability to commit to a 4-day induction programme if successful
  • Have Right to work in UK (with relevant Adaptation/ONP if applicable)
  • Have the ability to commence work within 3 months of offer

  • RGN with current live NMC Registration - for more than 1 year
  • Teaching and assessing qualification (998 or equivalent)

Work Experience

Essential criteria
  • Candidate will have undertaken training for extended roles required by the ward / department. i.e. IV drug administration, Cannulation, venepuncture, ECGs, male catheterisation, PCA and Epidural training.
  • Candidate will have been working in a hospital setting within the last 2 years, as a Registered Nurse


Essential criteria
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Basic computer / IT skills and expectation to develop these in line with the needs of the service i.e. IHS, Acis, Email use.
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of Broad Acute experience
