Avon Partnership NHS Occupational Service (APOHS) is an innovative and dynamic occupational health service based in Bristol, hosted by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust and partnered with North Bristol NHS Trust. APOHS serves the Occupational Health needs of NHS and non-NHS staff of many organisations across the area.

We are delighted to offer full and part-time opportunities to work within a professional multi-disciplinary team within the Partnership. This post is for a Wellbeing Screening Nurse, to be based at our central Whitefriars site. There will be an element of cross-site working at the Bristol and Weston campus. The Wellbeing Screening Nurse will offer an exclusive occupational health, wellbeing screening service to UHBW colleagues, under the clinical leadership of the Lead UHBW Occupational Health Specialist Nurse and in collaboration with the Trust Workplace Wellbeing team.

As part of the confidential health screening appointment, the post holder is required to initiate a healthy lifestyle discussion to check service user understanding of their personal results; to recommend they consult a healthcare practitioner/GP (where applicable) and to signpost to other workplace wellbeing services and interventions to promote psychological wellbeing, physical wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.

In addition and to complement this service, the post holder will deliver smoking cessation advice via one-to-one appointment and/or group and drop-in sessions onsite or online.

A full driving license with use of a car for travelling and working between UHBW sites.
