Maternity Post-Operative Nurse

To support and assist in the delivery of professional nursing care to patients within maternity, primarily post-operative birth care, ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers. Support the planning of care for designated patients from admission to discharge. Utilises and integrates evidence into practice.

The Maternity Services at Buckinghamshire NHS are seeking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic nurses to join our friendly team caring for mothers and babies on the antenatal and postnatal ward. This role will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting families before and after they have given birth.

- Post qualification experience in relevant speciality
- Hold / be working towards an NMC approved mentoring qualification
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE

- Ability to manage and prioritise own caseload
- Ability to solve problems and use initiative
- Ability to develop clinical skills
- Willingness to undergo training (e.g. medications)
- Basic IT skills

- Adaptable to change
- Flexible and approachable

- Willingness to develop teaching skills
- Awareness of the NHSE guidance of clinical governance in order to continuously improve quality of care e.g. quality, safety and ward audit standards
