Job overview
The Endoscopy Unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital is looking to expand its services in order to meet the ever growing demand for endoscopic procedures. We offer a work environment with state of the art facilities and a real commitment to your career.
We are currently recruiting Health Care Assistants either with or without Endoscopy experience, to join our dedicated team.
This is an exciting, fast paced and challenging Unit to work on. You need to have a passion for delivering high standards of care, commitment to sharing your knowledge and skills and enthusiasm to help drive our services forward.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be fully supported with personalized development plans to assist in reaching your full potential and career goals. Along with an induction programme which will include supernumerary period and support from a named mentor and clinical educator.

Permanent contracts available - Part time and Full time hours. Working Monday to Saturday.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE in Mathematics and English
- NVQ Level 3 in care or working towards
Desirable criteria
- Working knowledge of JETS
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of: Clinical governance / Clinical audit / Health and Safety
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Endoscopy and endoscopic procedures
Key Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the patient and service needs

Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Health Care Assistant
Desirable criteria
- Experience of Endoscopy and/or Gastroenterology, JETS Competencies at Level 4
