Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position of Band 7 Unit Manager of the Ambulatory care unit (ACU) and Discharge Lounge in Peterborough.
You will be required to provide dynamic and professional clinical leadership, enhance clinical activity, and maintain delivery of high quality nursing care. You will work in close liaison with the Lead Nurse, Medical team, and the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to provide the highest quality of care required to support our inpatients and those attending Ambulatory care.
This post holder will also be responsible for the Discharge Lounge within PCH, this service is within the Urgent Care Division and facilitates patients to be transferred to this area to enable flow to the wards. As mentioned above all KPI’s and line management responsibilities will be the same for this area.
Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain high standard of nursing care.
To be actively involved in the management of the nursing team for all staff within the Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU).
To support the delivery of key performance indicators and the quality agenda
To support the professional development of a junior workforce working closely with the Practice Development Team
Previous experience of rota management, sickness management and performance appraisals of staff would be necessary.
