Ward A2 is a 38 bedded Upper GI and Liver surgery ward. This ward offers an excellent experience in acute surgical nursing of this complex group of patients. You will follow the journey of patients from investigation stage to theatre stage. You will develop skills in caring for patients who require Total Parenteral Nutrition and Enteral Feeding. You will experience working closely  with the multidisciplinary team including our dedicated UGI and liver Clinical Nurse Specialists and develop excellent clinical skills and knowledge.

You'll have the opportunity to meet the nurses from all our specialties who will be on hand to help with your queries - you might even go home with a job offer as we will be offering interviews on the day. You can speak to the nursing staff who are already enjoying working for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and who will be able to answer any questions you have.

If you are a student nurse training outside Wales you are welcome to apply for a position of your choice.

As well as a dynamic, friendly working environment we offer a full induction programme and an individual personal development plan to guide your development within your new role.
