We have an exciting opportunity in Trauma Clinic in the University Hospital of Wales for Registered nurses.
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Trauma Clinic encompasses a wide variety of Adult and Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic conditions. The role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to gain casting skills, through practical experience as well as formally undertaking the BOA Casting course, as well as experience in complex wound management along with general clinic duties. We hold nurse led collar care clinics for spinal injury patients who have been discharged from the spinal ward.
For successful candidate we can offer, Trauma Clinic, Theatre and outpatients experience in the New Children’s hospital for Wales as well as pre admission clinics for paediatric patients undergoing complex orthopaedic surgery.
We are looking for nurses who are enthusiastic, motivated, flexible in approach and interested in working within a busy Trauma Clinic, if this is you, an opportunity has arisen for reliable individuals with flexible approach to work to take up Band 5 posts within Trauma Clinic.
Applicants should have good interpersonal and organisational skills and be dedicated to providing high quality nursing care to patients. The department is demanding but rewarding area to work in. You will work closely with other disciplines within Trauma and Orthopaedics team. We are friendly team open to change and new ideas. Trauma Clinic is situated next to the Emergency Unit in the University Hospital of Wales. Cardiff and vale University Health Board has been awarded the Major Trauma Centre which offers exciting opportunities for nurses working within Trauma in the University Hospital of Wales.
