Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Lead Clinical Procurement Nurse working with the Procurement Team at Cwm Taf University Health Board. This post will provide local Procurement Services with the clinical expertise and support required to implement All Wales Medical and Clinical contracts, standardise and rationalise the range of medical and surgical products and lead on supply chain improvements within the Health Board.Ensuring a value based healthcare approach to procurement , focusing on adding value to improve patient outcomes. |
Main duties of the job
You will provide visible, authoritative and effective leadership, liaison and interface between clinicians from a broad range of professional groups and Procurement. You will work with clinical stakeholders to ensure procurement of appropriate and clinically acceptable products which facilitate improved patient outcomes whilst also representing best value. You will also lead on Value Based Procurement projects for Cwm Taf uhb. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to take responsibility, work on your own initiative and develop effective working relationships at all levels and disciplines.We offer a modern agile working environment and will provide all the IT equipment and support to enable this.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Candidates must hold a Nursing registration and significant nursing experience in a senior leadership role and staff management.Candidates should be customer focused and understand the importance of acquiring value for money.Applicants will be required to travel between sites across the Health Board and beyond in a timely manner. |

Essential criteria
- Meets the requirements to be able to work in the UK
- Have at least 5 years nursing experience
- Up to date full nursing registration
Desirable criteria
- Minimum of 10 years nursing experience across multi disciplines
- Welsh speaker
- Excellent working knowledge of Welsh NHS
Qualifications

- Educated to degree level, ideally in Nursing
