An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an inspirational, dynamic and enthusiastic nurse specialist to join the Colposcopy Service at The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be part of a skilled team of consultants and nurse specialists that aim to support the Trust and the Gynaecology Service in delivering the standards set out by the BSCCP. As an individual, you will act as expert in this specialist area of Colposcopy and have experience in the wider gynaecology service.
Main duties of the job
- To plan/organise/manage a defined patient caseload, be accountable for professional actions, and to work on own initiative without direct supervision.
- To work as a specialist, autonomous practitioner and use expert clinical decision making skills, ensuring continuity of a high standard of evidence-based nursing care, from point of referral through to
conservative treatment and/or post-operative management and discharging. - To provide nurse-led clinics according to the colposcopy service requirements.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- RN/RSCN Diploma or Degree
- NMC Registered
- MSc Advanced Practice / Clinical Masters or working towards within 2 academic years of appointment
- Recognised teaching/assessing qualification 998/997 /mentorship
- Relevant specialty related qualification/module
Desirable criteria
- Trained in Advanced Life Support
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Speciality knowledge and experience
- Basic knowledge of financial management within the clinical setting.
- Knowledge of professional and NHS issues and an understanding of corporate objectives.
- Significant Post Registration clinical experience in colposcopy.
Desirable criteria
- CNS mentorship and development
- Continuity of care, taking responsibility and managing patients at different time points through their journey

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
