Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are pleased to be able to recruit to 2 LEARNING DISABILITY Registered Nurse Apprenticeship posts within the LD,NDD&ABI care group.
This exciting post is open to staff working within the Trust. Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months recent experience in a health and clinical based role.
Main duties of the job
This Higher Apprenticeship in Nursing allows you to study for a BN degree and you can register with the NMC as a nurse. Apprenticeships are required by the NMC to complete 4600 hours: 2300 in theory and 2300 in practice. This is a full time course, run over 3 years. You will be paid at a band 3 agenda for change.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Maths and English GSCE at C/4 or above or equivalent such as Level 2 Functional Skills
- Meets the entry requirements for University (see attached documents). All qualifications will be assessed on an individual basis
- Have a vocational qualification at Level 3 e.g. NVQ Level 3 or be able to demonstrate an equivalent leve of knowledge or experience
Knowledge & Expertise
Essential criteria
- Must undergo training as required
- Need to complete and pass all course modules and clinical competencies within contract period
- Insight into role and responsibilities of post
- Basic IT skills
- Knowledge of :- - Principles of infection - Prevention and control - Customer relations - Maintaining a safe environment - Emergency procedures - Equity and diversity
Desirable criteria
- Open to other learning opportunities within the Trust.
