Generic Support Worker
Successful candidates will be invited to an Assessment Day on Friday 20th August 2021 held at Carew House in Bodmin. Please note this will be either a morning or afternoon session to be confirmed.
This is an exciting development opportunity to work as part of a service delivering re-ablement in peoples own homes as part of the Home First service which is a collaborative approach between community, acute and social care providers.
Working for Cornwall NHS Foundation Trust the successful candidate will demonstrate a caring approach and a desire to work with people to support them to identify and achieve their goal. An ability to motivate individuals to support their recovery and to maximise their independence and improve the quality of people lives is essential.
You will need to demonstrate good communication skills and a positive approach to people who may have communication difficulties or who have challenging health needs.
You will be part of a dedicated team and will be provided with bespoke training to support your development in this role.
You will be required to work a rota that covers 7 days a week from 08:00 to 20:00. Flexibility within this rota, and geographical location, will be important.
This is a full-time post.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
