Job overview
The High Peak Community Mental health team based in Buxton, is looking for an enthusiastic Band 7 Non Medical Prescriber with a recorded prescribing qualification to join their busy and friendly team based in North Derbyshire. Our team operates Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, excluding bank holidays and this post is for 30 hours a week, permanent contract.
The work will involve assessing and prescribing for those that are open to the community mental health team who live in the North Derbyshire area. Due to the geographic area covered by the team there will be occasions where working in other localities will be required. As such you will need to have the ability to travel across a specified geographical area.
You will need to have recent relevant experience of dealing with adults with mental health preferably in a community setting.
The posts will suit an enthusiastic, driven, motivated and flexible NMP with demonstrable experience of working in an independent prescribing practitioner role. Arrangements for Consultant support and prescribing supervision are in place. The post holder will be required to engage in CPD including a mix of self-directed learning and mentored practice supported by internally and externally taught training.
Main duties of the job
As a NMP, you will assess and prescribe to patients who come through the community mental health team pathway.
This is a very supportive team and you will be encouraged to continue your professional development with the help of regular supervision and access to training opportunities.
