Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for;
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse with an interest in Women's Health to join our friendly team here at the Royal Derby Hospital. The post will initially be within the Gynaecology Outpatient Department with a view to a possible rotation across our other Gynaecological areas.
Gynae Outpatients is a busy and rapidly developing area within the newly merged University Hospitals of Derby & Burton. We encompass many aspects of Women's health and include clinics and treatment for many differing Gynaecological conditions. These include: Colposcopy and treatment for cervical problems, Urodynamic Investigations and other Ambulatory Gynaecology Procedures such as Outpatient Hysteroscopy, Endometrial Ablation and MVAC's. We also run Urogynae, Gynae Oncology, Pregnancy Advisory and General Gynaecology clinics within our service.
Currently Gynae clinic is a 5 day, Monday to Friday service and we offer flexible working and many learning and development opportunities.
It is intended that following an initial period of at least 6-12months as a member of the core team in Gynae Outpatients this post will become a rotational one giving the post holder an exciting opportunity to work across most of the Gynae areas including the Gynaecology Emergency Assessment Unit, the Inpatient Ward and Daycase areas, giving a unique insight and experience of the patient journey along with the opportunity to learn many new skills.
