Do you want to be part of a dynamic and innovative team? 

We are looking for two enthusiastic band 5 registered nurse's or ODP's for 1 full time and 1 part time vacancy.

Sir Robert Peel Hospital DAY CASE UNIT combines a minor ops THEATRE, ENDOSCOPY UNIT and various clinics.

It as an exciting time for our busy endoscopy unit which carries out diagnostic procedures with imminent plans for expansion to a second procedure room. The endoscopy department has gained JAG accreditation and the post holder will play a key part in maintaining the required standards of care.

The post holder will provide individualized nursing care to patients attending the endoscopy suite from pre assessment to discharge. It is essential that the post holder can work within a diverse team, provide autonomous decision making and be aware of limitations in accordance with the NMC.

The post holder will be expected to exhibit specific skills in the management of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. This will include undertaking assessment, education and counselling where appropriate.

The role will include collaborative working with a multi disciplinary team to ensure delivery of the endoscopy service. This may, at times involve cross site working to Burton or Derby sites.

 

SRP Theatre will bring opportunities to develop scrub / running and recovery skills in minor surgical procedures.

The post holder will be expected to act as a team member on the Surgical Ward to assess, admit and discharge the patients when required.

Rotation between all areas is encouraged to develop and enhance portfolio of experience in endoscopy and theatre.
