Preceptee Staff Nurse Interview Day - Blood, Inflammation and Cancer
NHS AfC: Band 5
Job overview
Blood, Inflammation and Cancer Directorate - Interview Day for Third Year Adult Nursing Students
We are excited to be recruiting into our Blood, Inflammation and Cancer Directorate. We have 2 inpatient wards, 2 Oncology/Haematology day case units, Acute Oncology/Acute Haematology, Immunology and Allergy, Rheumatology and End of Life Care.
For the first time we would like to offer preceptees a rotational post over a 2-year period, this would include placements in at least 4 of the above areas. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience about a variety of specialities within our directorate, whilst also developing your skills and knowledge. Within this period, you would be expected to complete the preceptee programme and also have the opportunity to complete your SACT training, Fundamentals in Cancer Care module and Communication Skills.
You will have allocated study time throughout your rotation, and regular group support. As this role will consist of a mix of inpatient and outpatient areas, you will need to be flexible, and be prepared to work days, nights, and weekends shifts on the inpatient units, and then Mon-Friday shifts for the outpatient units.
If you are interested then we would love to hear from you. Please contact Rachel Bryce, Jane Ransome or Sam Rowe.
