Staff Nurses - Trustwide

Band 5

Come and join us at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Not only is it a great place to work; it's also a wonderful place to live. The town has great transport links, a bustling quay and some of the best beaches in England. You’ll also have easy access to the Dorset countryside, renowned for its areas of outstanding natural beauty and the spectacular Jurassic Coast, ideal for sports and outdoor activities.

Poole Hospital is one of the largest employers in the region and highly regarded across the NHS, consistently featuring within the top twenty per cent in both national patient and staff satisfaction surveys. We pride ourselves on positive team work, professional development and support staff to reach their fullest potential. All of this is underpinned by our unique philosophy, The Poole Approach, which pledges that we will strive at all times to provide friendly, professional, person-centred care with dignity and respect for all.

This is an exciting time for our staff, following a recent review of healthcare services in Dorset which will see major changes to the way healthcare is provided. As one of the two acute NHS providers in the east of the county, our services will be closely linked to those provided at the Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We’re working in close collaboration to deliver excellent emergency and planned care over the two sites, for the people of east Dorset.

The Trust is seeking to appoint registered nurses for our adult inpatient wards in a variety of specialties, including medical, surgical, elderly medicine and orthopaedics and trauma. Applications are invited from individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to treat all patients, relatives and other members of staff with dignity and respect. You will strive to provide excellent quality of care with a passion for making a real difference.

In the  Staff Friends and Family Test, 80 per cent of staff that responded recommended us as a place to work, our highest ever score for this section of the test. A total of 93 per cent of staff also recommended the hospital as a place for care, our second highest ever score.

Flexible working opportunities are available including rotation posts; please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
