Community Staff Nurse
We currently have two band 5 vacancies in the Sturminster Newton District Nursing teams for someone who is seeking to broaden their range of skills and knowledge in caring for people in their own environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
You will need an understanding of the current primary care , including the management of long term conditions with excellent communication skills. You will provide high quality clinical care when caring for patients in the community setting within North Dorset.
The post holder will participate in the delivery of skilled autonomous nursing care to patients within their own home, including care at the end of life, wound management, medicines management and as appropriate, assisting the patient to develop self-management skills, this will also include integration with other teams.
Employment in this post requires a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
