North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

Job overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our dedicated team. This is a pivotal role supporting the health and wellbeing of our workforce through expert clinical input, policy guidance, and performance monitoring.

Main duties of the job

    • Represent the Occupational Health Service at relevant meetings and committees, providing specialist clinical advice.
    • Actively contribute to a positive team culture within Occupational Health and the wider organisation.
    • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide expert guidance to staff and managers on employment policies, including sickness absence, equality and diversity, reasonable adjustments, and workplace wellbeing.
    • Lead on the analysis and reporting of customer satisfaction data to inform service improvements.
    • Develop and monitor Occupational Health activity data to support performance reporting and service efficiency.
    • Ensure service delivery meets Key Performance Indicators and contractual obligations.
    • Deliver health surveillance programmes in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
    • Support and participate in healthy workplace initiatives and wellbeing campaigns.
    • Manage to mass vaccination programmes and outbreak management efforts
