We are inviting applications for a highly motivated and dynamic Health Care Assistant to join North Tees children and young peoples emergency department
Main duties of the job
The post involves liaising with a variety of health and social care providers and other agencies to ensure the provision of high quality care management to this group of patients and their carers.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We require a Health Care Assistant with NVQ level 3 in health and social care who has excellent communication skills and is confident working across professional boundaries. You will need to be flexible, adaptable & a good team player with the ability to work independently within a community setting. You will be prepared to work all shift patterns within the locality including early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

Essential criteria
- NVQ 3 or alternative equivalent qualifications / experience.
- Good standard of literacy / numeracy.
- Able to use IT systems such as email and internet to find information & the patient’s electronic record.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate sound basic knowledge and understanding of a broad range of medical conditions particularly those affecting older people.
- Evidence of ability to work with a multi disciplinary team.
- Previous recent experience in a clinical setting.
