Job overview
This is a specialist allergy nursing role in a small team providing the regional commissioned service. The post-holder should already hold allergy-related competencies in areas such as desensitisation, patient education and skin prick testing. The role will provide nurse-led desensitisation, supervise biologic treatments for chronic spontaneous urticaria, provide and interpret allergy skin prick testing and assist with administrative elements of the service including high-cost drug administration, data basing, patient registries and drug ordering.
We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses.
This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (£25000), and any role-specific criteria.

Qualifications / Experience
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Desensitisation, spirometry, FENO, allergy patient education, omalizumab, management of anaphylaxis
- Achieved key competencies required for Allergy CNS
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of EDI within a Healthcare setting
- Able to work under pressure Able to concentrate and maintain high degree of accuracy clinically
