The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital is a CQC rated 'Outstanding' regional, dedicated children's hospital located in Brighton overlooking the sea, next to the Royal Sussex County Hospital.  The hospital opened the only dedicated children's emergency department on the South Coast in 2012 and we currently see around 29,000  children and young people annually.

There is a full resuscitation room, minors/majors cubicles and a four bedded observation unit. We were the first children's ED in the country to have a dedicated sensory cubicle for children with additional needs. There is a comprehensive paediatric emergency nurse practitioner service and ACORNS a community emergency nursing team based in CED to follow up an appropriate cohort of discharged patients.

This is your opportunity to work within the children's emergency nursing team and continue to develop your career.  You will be working in a bright purpose built children's hospital with support from the children's nursing team and paediatric consultants. The CED team has a focus on multi-disciplinary learning in the department.
