University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us, expanding our current Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Clinical Tral portfolio both locally and regionally.
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, organised and experienced clinical research nurse with excellent communication skills to help develop and maintain a growing portfolio of MND clinical trials.
Main duties of the job
Has the knowledge and expertise to be responsible for the planning and coordinating of clinical research trials within the specialty of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
To support, deliver and lead a senior research nurse service within the Sussex MND Network catchment area.
To lead on the delivery of the MND research nurse service objectives, as agreed with the MND Association
The post holder will manage and oversee a portfolio of clinical research studies, liaising with Chief and Principal Investigators.
Shares responsibility for development and management of the service.
Provide professional nursing leadership and support at departmental level and to clinical research nurses across divisions and collaborate with the senior nurse managers to enhance nursing practice and strategy.

Experience/Qualifications
Essential criteria
- First degree in relevant subject
- First level registered nurse
- Evidence of specialist knowledge required for the portfolio and research
- Previous experience in teaching and assessing
- Prior line maagement and experienced in managing staff
Desirable criteria
- Management/Leadership course/qualification
