An opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified Clinical Support Workers to work in AAU at the Conquest hospital. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths and NVQ2  in health and social care or the equivalent experience is essential. 

The Acute Assessment Unit is a 19 bedded fast paced medical unit managing emergency admissions directly from A&E and GP acute admissions. We have an excellent multidisciplinary team and good team work is essential.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) is a member of the care team who provides nursing care and interventions to a delegated patient caseload, assisting the Registered Nurse/Practitioners to deliver high quality and effective care.  
Duties will be dependent upon clinical area of work and if it is a hospital or community role and additional training undertaken but may include:
•    Personal care or chaperone duties
•    Supporting patients with bathing, toileting, dressing and meals
•    Records patient information
•    A range of delegated clinical care duties including dressings, medication administration
•    Undertakes and records patients’ vital signs
•    Escalate any concerns in observation or change in patient’s condition
•    Support and supervision of Band 2 clinical support workers
•    Enhanced observations 
•    Patient escort role
