Job overview
An exciting opportunity to offer a motivated individual who is interested in working within the Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service across Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, primarily Brighton and Hove and the High Weald, Lewes and Havens Locality.
We are looking for a Band 4 Nursing Associate who will work independently under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse to support and deliver a range of clinical activities in line with patients' individual care and treatment plans.
Main duties of the job
Applicants must have a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (Adult Nursing), as well as excellent clinical, communication and team-working skills.

The role will include providing a mixture of general and specific care to individuals with bladder and / or bowel dysfunction through specific interventions as identified by competency achievement to enhance the delivery of care, through catheterisation, bladder ultrasound scanning, basic continence assessments, support rehabilitation programmes and bowel management.
The post Holder will contribute to the planning, implementation and monitoring of patient care as part of the Specialist Bladder and Bowel Service.
The Successful applicant will require willingness to develop new skills and embrace change and have the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative with sound clinical knowledge and judgement.
Candidates must have a clean driving licence and use of a car for work purposes.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Nursing Associate will provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of patients and will be proficient and competent to work at their registered level. They will work alongside Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.
The post holder will have completed their Nursing Associate training and be registered with the NMC.
